How We Help

The Every Little Thing Approach

Working closely with all our clients, we create client-led, goal-focussed support plans to help them achieve independence throughout their lives. We spend time building relationships with social services and other mental and physical health providers across the county, meaning that we are the go to option for clients needing a more informal approach and a service that can think outside the box. We realise that mental health and well-being can’t be confined to a rulebook, that’s why we’re flexible. We take our time to create bespoke matches between our support workers – and services we provide, to the needs of each individual.

Our frontline support team are all DBS checked and certified. Each of our staff all go through a rigorous induction and training programme, with the support team undergoing a comprehensive upskilling process through accredited CPD programmes. Whether you need help tackling social anxiety head-on, managing your daily living activities, or transitioning back home after a mental health crisis, we’re here to guide and encourage you. We know that not everyone finds the support they need through traditional healthcare systems, and we’re here to bridge that gap.

Support - How Can We Help?

Every Little Thing’s services are built around understanding and flexibility. For nearly 10 years we have provided personalised support services for adults over the age of 18. We’ve become the South East’s prominent provider for alternative and unique support for those whose needs don’t quite fit the mold of traditional care providers. There’s no problem too big (or too small!) for our team to help with. Crucially, our clients are directly involved in creating their support plans every step of the way.

Mental
Health

First and foremost, we are a completely non-judgemental team. We tailor our support to enable every individual to achieve the most out of life. We have seen it all, and understand that everyone’s situation is unique; our support is designed to get people’s lives back on track – however that might look! We recognise that it is often just knowing that someone is there which makes all the difference.

Community
Involvement

Getting involved with the outside world can be tricky. If someone is finding it hard to step outside and connect with others, we provide social integration support. This can include helping them in attending local events, finding work, or building confidence in social settings. Our team are passionate about building our clients’ confidence, and being a proactive part of their lives.

Day-to-day
Assistance

Daily tasks can often feel overwhelming. We have helped individuals build their independence by; support in cooking, light housework, food shopping and meal planning, light gardening, keeping on top of appointments, and budgeting. We are confident in helping people overcome their barriers and assisting them to achieve their goals, taking care of every little thing along the way.

Personalised
Approach

Every Little Thing’s Initial Needs Assessment (INA) allows us to take the time to find a perfect match between a client and one of our support workers. We believe that a lasting relationship is the best way to build trust and confidence, that’s why we make sure to allow at least 2 hours minimum per session. Our clients are directly involved in their support plan, meaning that they – and their dedicated support worker – know exactly what to expect each week to get them achieving their goals. Importantly, our clients have the same familiar face to talk to each week, ensuring they’ll feel 100% supported by somebody who knows and understands them.

Referrals: Families and Social Workers

We believe that individual well-being takes a village, which is why we also work with the families, friends, and healthcare professionals of those people wanting to get their lives back on track. We welcome referrals from:

  • Family members or friends who are worried about a loved one.
  • Social workers and other outside professionals

And, of course, if you are an individual over the age of 18 who’s feeling alone, struggling with life, or facing a mental health crisis, you are also able to self-refer with us at any time.

Finding the appropriate support can often be difficult, but Every Little Thing’s support is built with our clients’ mental health in mind.
