Meet The Team
Our humble beginnings
Amie started Every Little Thing after noticing a clear gap in support services.
After many years in traditional healthcare, our founder Amie decided it was time to throw away the rulebook, ditch uniforms, and bring a more personalised approach to support services across Hastings and Rother. She wanted to create a point of contact for everyone who needed support and to provide a full range of services that weren’t always available through traditional routes.
Within months, Every Little Thing was born.
Since then, we’ve gone on countless dog walks to tackle loneliness, introduced clients to the joys of home cooking, and talked about everything from family to finances. We even stopped taking paid referrals to set up a volunteer service during the Covid lockdown, going shopping, and providing a free call service for vulnerable people who were isolating in order to take the burden off of the NHS.
Throughout this journey, our new approach to community and mental health support has always aligned with our core values that empower, enrich, and embrace individuals’ lives.

Meet the Team!
When you’re supported by us, you’ll have the same designated support worker each week rather than a different face every session. We want you to build trust with your support worker and for them to get to know you, too; neither of which is possible if you’re constantly speaking to someone new. For our clients’ safety and privacy, we do not display our support workers’ information and pictures on our site.
However, alongside our wonderful support workers, Every Little Thing wouldn’t run if we didn’t have an amazing ‘behind the scenes’ office team. They work hard to ensure the smooth running of our community support services.

Amie
Founder/Director
After a career of working in traditional support services, I founded Every Little Thing to bring holistic, all-encompassing support to our community.
Hi, I’m Amie! Director and Founder of Every Little Thing.
Before founding Every Little Thing, I worked in traditional social care. It was in 2016 that I became impassioned by the idea that I could build a new approach to support services that addressed the pitfalls of the industry.
In my role as a housing support officer, I’d been supporting a client who had lost her husband and her dog. She was facing the loss of her home, and struggled to leave her house due to anxiety. I decided to bring my lovely dog Rosko to visit her, hoping he’d motivate her to get outside. He did! Together, we built up her confidence and helped her find the joy in life again. It was then that I realised I needed to do something for more people like her – the ones who were ‘falling through the net’ of traditional support services.
This experience led me to create Every Little Thing to do just that. I’m incredibly proud of the personalised support we provide. Our relationships with social workers, outside agencies, and clients, and the wonderful culture we’ve built for everyone involved, it all stands testament to the shared belief of our mission. I’m very open about my own experiences within the mental health system, and I believe this has given me unique insights into how people can feel living in the system that sees them as a box, rather than as an individual. I also believe that by being more honest – while still protecting our boundaries – we can become beacons of hope to others.
When I’m not being the ‘Boss Lady’, you can find me on stage fronting my folk band, Sistie Moose (yes, that was a cheeky plug! Check out our Instagram or come to a gig, and I promise you won’t be disappointed). I find my peace walking in the woods – I find it a beautifully grounding, relaxing way to start the day. I spend the rest of my time with my wonderful wife, Imogen, and together we play and write music, swim in the sea, spend time with friends, and embrace the joy of life in each other’s company!

Julie
Registered Manager / Director
Hi, I’m Julie! I’m the Registered Manager and a Director at Every Little Thing. With a passion for leading safe, person-centred care, I empower individuals to regain their independence and thrive, no matter what challenges they’re facing.
In 2023 I joined Amie at Every Little Thing. Together, we’ve created a service I couldn’t be prouder of! I bring a range of multidisciplinary skills to Every Little Thing with over 25 years of experience in the industry. From complex care, community team leadership, domestic violence refuge, support work, alongside time spent in the litigation industry helping coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the needs of vulnerable clients. My formal qualifications include a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services and a Higher Apprenticeship in Managing Personal and Professional Development.
Throughout my working life, I’ve been proud to work with amazing people across health and social care, including those who are navigating brain injuries, trauma, domestic violence and attachment disorders. I’m also adept at helping clients rebuild their lives after negligence claims and work with solicitors and financial deputies.
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me walking in the woods, breathing in the sea air, cooking up a storm, curled up with a good book, dancing with friends (at a Sistie Moose gig, obviously!), or exploring my newfound love of yoga. My family, children, and grandchildren mean the world to me and are at the heart of my life.

Lindsay
Workforce & Compliance Manager
Hi, I’m Lindsay! I’ve been working in health and social care at a senior level for almost 20 years, specialising in dementia support. Originally from Australia, I’ve worked from Sydney to Sussex in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, transitional units and care facilities/homes.
Before Every Little Thing, I worked within a care home specifically helping adults with dementia, mental health issues, learning difficulties and acquired brain injuries. I’d been watching Every Little Thing’s journey on social media and was already invested in the services and holistic ethos of the team, so when the opportunity arose, I jumped on board as a support worker.
I loved encouraging and motivating clients to reach their full potential before making a move to become the Workforce and Compliance Manager. I knew that my experience of training and leadership would make a difference in the induction of our staff and, while I adored my time as a support worker, it was an opportunity to share my knowledge with other passionate team members.
When I’m not working, I’m busy enjoying life with my three children and partner. We share a home with our two long-haired Akitas, Marci and Cassie, and a Western Hognose snake, Toast. I’m also a volunteer wildlife rescuer and rehabilitator, avid reader – Phillip Pullman and Deborah Harkness are my favourites – and have a keen interest in Law and the Criminal Justice Service, as I possess a degree in Criminology and Psychology.

Michelle
Referrals Coordinator
Hi, I’m Mish! I started as a support worker in 2017, and now work alongside Amie in the office as the Referrals Coordinator. This means I’m likely to be the first person you meet on your support journey!
I’m Amie’s cousin, and we’ve worked together for many years, so when she asked me to be part of Every Little Thing, I jumped at the opportunity. (In fact, it was me who came up with the name – my little claim to fame!)
I’m a qualified humanistic and integrative therapist and have had my own practice for over 15 years. This compliments my role at Every Little Thing perfectly; if you’re anxious when reaching out for support, I can provide you with a friendly smile, a cuppa, and a deep appreciation for how you’ll be feeling. My aim is to make you feel reassured that during your time with Every Little Thing, you will be listened to in a non-judgemental, safe and supportive way.
When I’m not working, I love staying active by heading to the gym or walking my dog, Ollie. I love spending time with my husband and daughter, reading, and practicing self-development.

Daniela
Managerial Assistant
Hi, I’m Dani! I started as a support worker at Every Little Thing and am now the managerial assistant. (I also happen to be Amie’s mum)
I used to own a medical recruitment agency, and while this was perfect for many years, I was looking for a change of career into the care sector. I switched roles to manage a care home for adults with learning disabilities and mental health, before Amie asked me to come and join Every Little Thing.
I love that this is a family-run company with a passion for changing lives, being diverse and staying true to its cause. Watching it evolve from Amie’s vision into a hub of unequaled support for the local community makes me incredibly proud.
When I’m not working, I love being with my children and my fluffy, four-legged grandsons. I also enjoy cooking – particularly for others – and find reading the perfect way to relax. I won’t say no to a cheeky Netflix drama, either!
Our ‘Supawt’ Workers!
Introducing the stars of our in-office support team: Rosko and Ollie! They are fully trained, and just about the best way to cheer up a gloomy day. They have an uncanny ability to put everybody around them at ease, with wagging tails that reduce anxiety, and puppy-dog eyes that are impossible not to smile at.
Our fluffy little fellas, while happily retired from going on out-and-about adventures, are always in the office, though, and will gladly accept fusses and cuddles if you’d like to say hello.
